Welcome to Hill of Gairdins, a cosy retreat in the stunning Shetland Islands! Perfect for a peaceful getaway, Hill of Gairdins is a warm and comfortable home from home. Well-equipped and surrounded by breath-taking landscapes, it’s an ideal spot to unwind and explore Shetland’s natural beauty.

Hill of Gairdins is a restful haven situated on Shetland’s Westside. Whether you want to sit back, relax and enjoy the sparkling sea views, or get your walking boots on and hike the heather hillside, this property is ideally placed to enjoy exploring all that Shetland has to offer.
The Scandinavian-style timber property features a spacious, light and airy living/dining area, well-equipped galley kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. There is unlimited Wi-fi and ample parking.

The surrounding area is full of stunning scenery and beautiful beaches. The Sand beach is within easy walking distance. It stretches along the bay below Hill of Gairdins. There are a number of other fine beaches nearby, at Reawick, Westerwick and Culswick.
Well worth a visit is 'Da Gairdins I Sand'. Situated right next to the property, 'Da Gairdins' is a wonderful woodland garden where thousands of trees and shrubs have been planted to attract wildlife. There are sheltered walks, picnic areas, wildflower meadows and wildlife ponds, creating a combination of garden and environmental spaces.

Because of its proximity to the sea, and the salt marsh which lies between 'Da Gairdins' and the sea, the area is a magnet to nesting and migrating birds. There have even been whimbrel nesting in the heather at Hill of Gairdins!
